Thomas A Bouse

Nebraska Master Naturalist


 

Born in Nebraska City in 1949, Tom was raised in Bennet, NE with an appreciation for the outdoors at a young age. He earned a BFA in Art Education/Photography, 1972, putting a successful hand to a range of mediums. He was employed by Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery (traveling works) in the 1980’s, roughly the same time he worked as a canoe outfitter with Loren Wilson on the Niobrara river.
A member and former President of Nebraska Independent Film Projects, Tom serves as Liaison to the Board of the Friends of Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.
Combining his life-long passions for Nebraska, its people, art, and nature, he has cultivated an extensive knowledge of Great Plains natural features and historic sites.

Tom is a long time supporter of orginal art and artists from the Great Plains. One of his earlier collaborations was a Spring Creek Prairie short film featuring a Nebraska family ensemble.

Tom enlisted the services of Rebecca Rose for his latest film feature Niobrara a film perspective.

Rebecca Served as Producer, Writer and Editor of this acclaimed documentary film.

Tom shares his expertise as a location scout, contracts to film private functions, and licenses stock footage.
